These are my notes on SB:
3Bet Blind vs steals w/{TT} (1)
3Bet range {KK,TT,KQs} (3)
4Bet+ range {QQ-KK} (2)
Attempted Steal then 4Bet {QQ} (1)
Called 2Bet from blinds range {99,J7s} (2)
Called 3Bets out of position with {KJo} (1)
Played turn draw aggressively (1)

Villain is 19/15 over about 600 hands. I'm pretty Laggy in general and this session am running 40/29 thru 30 hands or so.

However, he's 3 bet and/or 4bet my preflop raise 4-5 times in the last ~30 hands or so and I've folded each time as I've been behind his range... I mixed it up here. Interested to hear thoughts. Will post rest of hand later.

BTN: 63.05 BB
SB: 114.75 BB
Hero (BB): 114.75 BB
UTG: 124.72 BB

SB posts SB 0.5 BB, Hero posts BB 1 BB

Pre Flop: (pot: 1.5 BB) Hero has Tc Kh

fold, fold, fold, SB raises to 3 BB, Hero raises to 7 BB, SB raises to 16 BB, Hero calls 9 BB

Flop: (32 BB, 2 players) 5s Ks 9s
SB checks, Hero ??

My preflop read is a medium pair like 66-99 so this flop sets up for disaster or bet/fold. Literally feel as though there's zero chance he's sitting on spades here.

I would go ahead and lead out here. I'm guessing he has jacks. a thin value bet makes sense here to me, if he reps AK or better he probably has it given his stats so its an easy fold to a check raise here IMO. Interested to hear other thoughts.

Very nice read, HC. On flop, I was convinced he'd flopped a set and checked behind. After he checked turn I decided I'd pay off a river bet or lead for half pot if checked to me. Villain bet half the pot for me and I called. In hindsight, this wasn't a brilliant hand on my part... it was terribly misplayed by villain. I would have fired 2 barrells with Queens in that spot, especially holding Qs... especially with the read on me as Loose and very aggressive. I would have let him know if he was behind on flop by popping his lead out.

Yeah queens make sense, no way he's checking that flop after putting that much in PF if he had connected strongly, it's too draw heavy for your range (AQ spades type of hand def in your range here given BvB situation and your VPIP). I would have favored a value bet on the flop I think you might have been able to triple-barrel him if you kept it reasonable and he might have looked you up, but you know this guy's play better than I do. The line you took might have maximized value cause you might have lost him on the flop. Clearly he thought he was ahead on the river and that he was value betting. He probably put you on a middle pair after you checked two streets behind.

Anyway nice pot!

Disclaimer: I still in no way condone calling a 4-bet of that size against a tight reg with K 10 off. :)

Correction I just saw that all THREE flop cards were spades, upon initially reading it I thought it was 2 spades. Yeah, he's not checking a set there IMO, no way.

Seems like this guy has a really strong 4 bet range, I'd make sure I'm holding a monster to take him to the flop in that situation.
